Landscaping in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach

Dorr to Door LLC handles landscaping as upkeep of the beds and plantings around a property, not as a design studio. We are a locally owned Jacksonville company. The work is for residential and commercial sites in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach, with priority on Jacksonville Beach (ZIP 32250), ZIP 32224, and ZIP 32225. We are insured. Estimates are free. There is no contract for recurring lawn service when mowing is part of the same property.

Most requests are practical. Beds fill with weeds. Mulch thins out and the soil shows. A wood border rots or lifts. Hedges grow across a walk or into a window. Shrubs planted years ago need a cutback and a cleanup. That is the landscaping we schedule: mulch and landscape beds, plant and shrub installation, landscape border installation, and tree, hedge, and shrub trimming within the limits below.

Bed work usually means weeding, edging the bed so it stays off the turf, and installing mulch where the bed needs it. Plant and shrub installation covers flowers, small plants, shrubs, and other ornamentals, including preparation of the bed they go into. Borders we install are wood edging along beds and walkways, including replacement of worn edging. Hedge and shrub trimming is shaping, cutting back overgrowth, taking small branches that rub the house or hang into a path, and hauling the clippings. We do not advertise hazardous tree removal, large-tree climbing, or pesticide application. Specialized or regulated work may need a different contractor.

North Florida yards are mostly St. Augustine or Bahia turf, with beds sitting in the same heat, rain, and sandy soil. Plants that look fine in spring can crowd a walk by late summer. A landscaping visit is easier to price when we can see the beds, the access, and how much material has to leave the property. Photos are enough for many estimates. A complicated or overgrown site may need a look in person before we give a number. We do not post fixed prices.

Landscaping pairs with the rest of the exterior. If the lawn is the main need, start with lawn care: mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing, weekly or biweekly, with no contract on recurring lawn service. If the whole lot needs a reset, including brush or debris, see property maintenance. Green growth on a driveway, patio, fence, or wall is exterior cleaning. We treat that as mold and mildew maintenance, and the work follows current water rules.

Service is by area. We do not publish a street address. Jacksonville Beach is ZIP 32250. Inland priority routes are ZIP 32224 and ZIP 32225. Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach can be mentioned on an estimate when the property is actually there; they are nearby, not the center of the route. Put the city or ZIP in the request so we can say whether we can take it.
